PRAYER LETTER
May 2007
Dear Friends;
This is my favorite time of the year. Not only was I (Michelle) born again during the Passover season but the rebirth of everything around us reminds us of the wondrous works of God.
Ecclesiastes chapter 3 says “There is an appointed time for everything…” and for this we Praise the Lord. Praise Him for the warm weather and the cool nights we have been having.
Praise Him for all those who participated in the Passover programs we lead in April. Praise Him for our health; for those of us who are strong and able to function daily and for those who cannot – we will lift them up before Him. Praise Him for the men and women fighting for our freedom aboard and for those who here in the US.
Thank you all for continuing to pray for my (Michelle) Mother. Her sight is improving a little each day. It’s been at least 5 month’s now that Mom is confined to the house. The doctor is encouraging her to get out but she’s finding it difficult. Continue to pray for Lillian’s salvation.
Beit Midrash will be meeting on the 3rd Saturday of May (5/19) to celebrate the feast of Shavuot – 1st fruits. Pray for Andy as he prepares his message for this event. Pray that many will participate.
We were recently asked why are there 120 members in the Knesset (Israel’s government)? Our 1st response was because that is how many political parties are represented. Digging further into the quest or better answer we went to the “Jewish Virtual library and found that “According to traditional Jewish historiography, the Great Assembly (Anshe Knesset HaGedolah) was an assembly of 120 rabbis that ruled in the period after the time of the prophets up to the time of the development of rabbinic Judaism in 70 CE. They bridge a period of about two centuries. To read more about this go to www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Judaism/Great_Assembly.html
Until next time:
Andy & Michelle
YOUR ROLE
Do you support a Jewish work prayerfully and financially? Why not consider Messianic Midrash Ministry. After all God told Abraham, " And I will bless them that bless thee, and him that curseth thee will I curse; and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed." (Genesis 12:3). Is there any greater blessing for the Jewish people outside of accepting Yeshua (Jesus) as Messiah. We welcome your partnering with our ministry. Make Checks payable to Midrash Ministry and mail to P.O. Box 2761, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Thank you and God Bless!
